486/33 XENIX recommendations?

Any observations or comments on ISA 486 motherboards and their utility
in XENIX systems?  I'm especially looking at the AMI 'boards; have had
good luck with their 386es.

I'd also like to hear about EISA systems and any net performance
increase over ISA.  Is EISA still to new to use, or "is it safe"?
