4.2BSD and floating point data types

Hi,
	Will someone please give me a quick lowdown on the usage of the
various VAX data types amongst the language subsystems of 4.2BSD UNIX ?
	For example, which languages use F, D floating point formats ?
What does (float) and (double) in C map to, how about FORTRAN ? Who uses
G and H ?
