absolute address pointer in MS C 5.1

Try either of:

	char far *machine_id = 0xF000FFFE;
	char far *machine_id = 0xFFFEF000;

If you get compile time errors, add a cast:

	char far *machine_id = (char far *)0xF000FFFE;
	char far *machine_id = (char far *)0xFFFEF000;

This is only a guess, but is easy enough to check out.
