3b1 mouse problems...

Gak.  The middle button on my 3b1's mouse has decided to act completely
odd.  Once the contacts are closed, they apparently stay closed until
I do something like unhook the mouse and reboot the system (to get
rid of the mouse pointer...).  It's really bizzarre.  I opened it
up to check things out -- visually it looked just fine.. :-)

What I'd like to do is fix this thing myself, rather than go thru
all the hassle of dealing with AT&T.  It's hard for me to be here
when they want to be here, and I think my 90days are up anyway.
