unix-pc.sources, .general, .uucp, and .bugs are newsgroups. Ask your
feed about them.

Here's posting about killer's UPC archives:

I recently posted a request for information about the source archives for
unix-pc.sources on killer. Since then I have seen requests to post this
information when I got it. Here you go.
------------------- Maessage 1 from gauss!wilber ------------------------
Here's the standard blurb on killer. In order to get to killer from my
3b1 using an external 4024 modem, I had to change the line for 2400 baud
access to:

killer Any ACU 2400 1-214-821-3795 "" \K\r\d\r in:--in: uupdsrc word: Public

Without the "break" the modem kept autobauding to the wrong speed.

Subject: How to get to the USENET sources archives via anonymous UUCP
Updated: 4 June 1988 by wisner

An archive of various public domain software is available to the general
public via anonymous UUCP from site killer. This file explains what is
available and how to get it.

Two sample L.sys lines follow, one for 2400 baud access and one for 1200.

killer Any ACU 2400 1-214-821-3795 in:--in: uupdsrc word: Public
killer Any ACU 1200 1-214-827-2919 in:--in: uupdsrc word: Public

Modify as necessary to fit local circumstances, of course.

We place no restrictions on use of these archives, but please try to be
reasonable.

If you have any requests, problems, suggestions, or whatever, send them
to wisner at killer.UUCP or {ames,att,decwrl,ihnp4,mit-eddie}!killer!wisner.

I suggest you retrieve the latest copy of this file before starting any
transfers since it is likely to change without notice at any time.

Almost all files are compressed using 16-bit compression. If you are on
a system where compress can only handle 12 bits, send me mail and special
arrangements can be made. Be warned that said arrangements may take a
while; I have been known to take up to two weeks to find the time to do
them. If you are on a PC clone running a version of UNIX such as Microport,
there IS an implementation of 16-bit compress available. Try posting an
article to comp.sources.wanted to find a copy.

Indices list files without the ".Z" suffix, even when the files are
compressed. When files are compressed, this fact will be noted in the
appropriate index. More on this later.

Don't use wildcards in requests. For example:

$ uucp killer!/bbsys4/sources/unix/v11/mush5.7/* ~nuucp

This will cause killer to attempt to queue all appropriate files for
transmission to your site, which will almost certainly fail since, to
killer, you're not a neighbor. In such cases you must request each
file separately.

If you find yourself using this archive frequently, you may want to be
added to my list of archive users. I send infrequent announcements about
the archives to this list.

Enough! Here's the part you've been waiting for:

Newsgroup Filename of Index

alt.sources /bbsys4/sources/alt/Index
comp.sources.games	/bbsys4/sources/games/Index
comp.sources.misc	/bbsys4/sources/misc/Index
comp.sources.unix	/bbsys4/sources/unix/Index
unix-pc.sources /bbsys4/sources/unix-pc/Index

All USENET sources are compressed. Indices, of course, aren't.

---------------- Second article from killer!loci (with index) ----------------

The name of the archive keeper on killer (last I heard) is
Bill Wisner (wisner at killer.dallas.tx.us). The Index file is
included here as it appears on killer. The complete filename
	for a file might be ... /bbsys4/sources/unix-pc/99.Z
