A friend had his modem cookedby lightning. He thinks it
can be fixed if he new what parts went where. So he is
for the schematics of an AT&T modem Model 4000, type 1A02
which runs at 1200 baud and is Hayes compatible. AT&T no
longer makes or sells this item soa direct approach didn't
work.

Maybe some one has one of these and is willing to look inside
and get the parts description for the scorched items. These
are:
1.	looks like 3 resistor/capacitor/diode right behind the
	red power plug are gone.
2.	behind these is a square IC (?) IDMB10 - 40
3.	the MC1488 trasmitter or receiver is clearly gone
	with a hole in it

Item 1. is the big problem since those guys are charred and
markings cannot be read. Thanks in advance.
