f77 max. continuation line option

Does anyone know if f77 has an option to increase the maximum number of 
continuation lines (default limit is 19)?  The documentation we have
does not indicate that the SGI f77 compiler has this option, however
almost all other f77 compilers have not limit or allow one to adjust
the limit.  My machine's vital statistics are:

Machine:	4D/210 VGXB
OS:		3.3.1
FTN:		S4-FTN-3.2
