V.32bis is definately the way to go.  Not only do you get potentially
higher throughput (14.4kb) but you also get a MUCH MUCH better retrain
technology which should alleviate much of the v.32 dropped line problems.


We have 10 v.32 modems and I won't buy another one because of the problems
we have with dropped lines (or pauses for as much as 45 seconds while the
modems retrain).  The next modems that we buy MUST support v.32 bis.
