dedicated line using 386/ix

We recently worked out a deal to install a 19.2kb dedicated
line between nstar.rn.com and another site 160 miles away -
and plan to run SLIP over this connection. Both ends will be
running Interactive Unix 386 release 2.21 - and we are at a loss
as to what type of modems to place on each end.
V.32 was our original idea - but now that V.32bis is out - we
are thinking about using V.32bis which should increase the throughput.
Any comments or feedback would be most welcome.
