I've been overwhelmed by the number of sites that have called up over
the past few weeks to copy files from my recently-instituted public
software archive.  This message is simply to let people know again
that this archive exists and to mention that it's been enlarged
significantly over the last month.

Here's the relevant excerpt from /usr/spool/pub/index:

All *.cpio files are created using cpio -oBc.  *.sh files are shar
archives.  Of course, everything is provided as-is and with absolutely
no guarantees of any kind.

Mail questions/comments to brant at manta.pha.pa.us (mail also accepted
from anonymous logins).  NOTE: If you send me mail requesting
information or action, you MUST provide me with a valid e-mail reply
path.  If that is not possible, try calling me on the telephone at
+1 215 386 5719 (evenings, East Coast time).  If I cannot reply, I am
very likely to ignore your request.

PLEASE MAKE AN EFFORT TO KEEP YOUR UUCP SESSIONS TO AN HOUR OR LESS.
In particular, I frown on attempts to copy the entire archive in one
long session.  I reserve the right to abort any uucp session that ties
up my single dialup line for an excessive period.
